国宝寛永13年再建の歴史ある大きな御影堂です。
平成21年の大修復で美しく蘇った調度品が見事です。

国宝。本願寺阿弥陀堂に並んで立ち、宗祖親鸞の木像を安置している。東西48メートル、南北62メートル、高さ29メートルで、江戸時代の建築として現存最大級の規模を誇り、遠目にも圧倒的な存在感がある。1636年再建、2009年に大修復が行われた。

天を仰ぐというか、見ごと。唐門見たさにお詣りしましたが、度肝を抜かれる大きさですね。大イチョウと綱引きしているようなスケールでした。お西さんの愛称もいいですね。大きなお寺さんなので、お賽銭も電子マネーも受け入れてくれるといいのですが。
