KANAZAWA OHKA: was both a great travel and learning experience. I'm a teacher and I was very well taught ; with learning takeaways easily compiled due to the small group size,.. all gained in a wonderfully warm and respectful environment. I was proud of my final arrangement and it has been the number one set of photos that I have shared from all of our holiday time in Japan.
A beautiful way to connect with Japanese culture, art and nature.Sensei Miwa is very welcoming and considerate in her teaching of Ikebana. It was a lovely way to slow down and enjoy creating. It’s definitely sparked a passion for Ikebana.Highly recommend!
とっても貴重な体験でした。初心者でもオススメ。先生が丁寧に教えてくれます。Highly recommended unique experience in a traditional home by an experienced teacher of ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arrangement. Reserve in advance. Serene atmosphere. Calming experience that's different from the busy shopping and restaurants in the area. I would visit again.

What an amazing experience this was. Truly a highlight of my time in Japan. Even though I didn’t speak Japanese my teacher and I were able to communicate and the experience felt more personal and authentic. She was such a talented, patient and fun teacher; truly a master in her craft. I really hope to do it again. If you’re looking for a local experience I highly recommend.
