桜花苑の特徴
陽光桜が見事に咲き誇る穴場で、必見の場所です。
熊野若王子神社の裏手には、4つの小道が広がっています。
新緑の季節には、訪れる価値が高いおすすめのスポットです。
冬に行っても何もありませんので注意です。
昨年の初夏に熊野若王子神社に参った後、「桜花苑」に行った。神社に案内かあったように思う。桜の木がたくさんあった。ソメイヨシノではない「陽光桜」という種類のようだ。桜の時期も終わってあおあおとしていた。案内看板があった。読んで見ると。戦争に行って戦病死した教え子達の鎮魂と平和を願って作られた桜のようだ。思いこもった桜。桜木には木の持ち主がいる木があるようで、その木には、木の持ち主の思いを込めて、その木に名前をつけてるようだ。桜の咲く頃行こうと思って、今日平成31年4月7日に行った。
観光客の多い哲学の道を外れ、若王子神社に向かうと案内の看板を見て、細い道を登ると有りました。やや急な坂ですが親切に手すりがあります。ここは家族の幸せを願い植樹している公園のようです。静かで鳥の囀ずりにホッとできました。桜吹雪が綺麗でした。桜の季節はオススメです。

桜花苑桜花園：薬王寺山のfootにある神社の裏には、4つの道に分かれた小道がいくつかあります。一つは、「同志社大学」の創始者である「新島Jo」の墓で、「薬王寺山」の山頂にあります。山の向こう側（東に面した左側の階段を上る）は、（桜花苑奥花園）と呼ばれる桜の庭スペースです。場所は最近、地元の企業によってほぼ100本の桜の木が植えられていますそれらは金属スレートに記載されています。場所は珍しい桜と呼ばれるヨーコ（鮮やかなピンク色）と新島八重にちなんだ八重桜の名前です。中央にある他の2つの小道は、滝の下に建てられた滝宮神社に通じています。 （Trans-word +：TGM京都ガイド）（原文）桜花苑 Oukaen : There are several small paths divided in 4 ways in the back of the shrine at the foot of Nyakuoji Mountain. 周辺のオススメ
「陽光桜」という赤みがかった桜が見事な穴場です。散り際になると、苔むした地面と赤い花びらとのコントラストが見事です。人も少なく、静かにお花を楽しめます。
