This is one of those places where you think “oh my gosh, how are Japanese people so nice?!”Despite my limited Japanese, the owner kindly and patiently showed me the products, and told me about the store pre and post the 2011 earthquake and how it changed the neighborhood. Japanese people are such a masters of resilience and rebuilding that it’s easy to forget how many people have been personally affected by earthquakes. The constant threat of major natural disasters really makes you appreciate Japanese culture and lovingly curated stores like this one.As I was leaving, I was handed a bunch of candies and given somelocal recommendations. 😭 ありがとうございました！ I hope lots of people come and visit the store!There’s also a stamp you can use to add to your stamp collection! :)
