We attended the tea ceremony and were able to learn about this 400 years old tradition. We had the opportunity to ask lots of questions to the Tea Master and to also share about how we felt about the experience. It felt like travelling back in time. Thanks for having us!

We had a fantastic experience doing the koicha (thick) tea ceremony for two. Hermitage Master Maeda Sorei was so gracious and accommodating. He went out of his way to translate English to ensure we understood the nuisance of the ceremony. We spent two hours at the teahouse and left with a deep appreciation of the history and culture behind the ceremony. The tea itself and the wagashi were delicious. Very highly recommend!!
