My review is specifically about the mini tatami mat craft experience; I haven't purchased any tatami mats or sliding doors.We had a wonderful experience here at the end of Golden Week. The staff were friendly and helpful, though I can't speak to their English ability as we mainly spoke in Japanese. You can pick your tatami color and pattern as well as the fabric that goes around the edges. There are so many options, I feel like I could come back many times! The crafting process is pretty simple and the staff can help if you need. The best part for me was many steps can be re-done if you need. Once we finished, we enjoyed looking around at their samples. I love the spider lily shoji door.If you are interested, you can call or email to make a reservation. The experience takes about 40 minutes. There is parking available next to the building.
