Had an amazing stay in the SHU suite. Its tattoo friendly as well since you have the whole townhouse to yourself. Miki greeted us at check in and showed us around the house. We had a lovely tea ceremony and she gave a lot of local recommendations as well. The bathroom is absolutely beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor baths. The machiya is also a 5 minute walk from Gojo station. Would 100% recommend staying here!
One of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had! We loved to stay there so much. I’m not a fan of taking long baths but I just couldn’t resist. The one outside is just perfect for chilly morning weather. 11/10
We had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The design is truly unique and they have a very spacious indoor bath and an outdoor bath in a lovely Japanese garden. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto and looking for something more than just a standard hotel room!

正しく「非日常」の感動体験でした。地下鉄五条駅駅から徒歩数分、京都駅も徒歩圏内で大変便利でした。

This was such a beautiful please to stay! The meals were delicious! And the outdoor tub was magnificent after a long day of walking and sightseeing it was a great way to relax and unwind.
