絵馬堂 Ema dou [votive tablet hall] is a restaurant that displays ema [wooden votive tablets] on the side of the building. It is about 1000 feet down the road from the Asakura Museum of Sculpture. Although I have never dined there, I have enjoyed admiring the uniquely decorated building. I especially like the Shoki, the Demon Queller ornament on the tile front roof. Someday I will time my visit to coincide with their lunch time opening hours.
気ままなランチしかやっていないお店だそうです。自分の家のようにくつろいでもらいたい、という思いから、料理もおまかせ。次から次に、おかずが出てきます。概観がとても素敵。
