見るべき場所です！琉球王国時代の主要道であった「宿道（すくみち）」の一部で、約200年前に整備されました。階段を上がった先にあり、今も石畳が見られます。うるま市指定文化財第34号「史跡」【うるま市設置の現地看板より引用】字大田と字川田を通る坂道は、今から約200年ほど前に、「あかばんた掟（うっち）」と「玉城親雲上（たまぐすくぺーちん）」と「上門小（いーじょうぐゎー）ビニー」の３人の企画と設計で施工され、地元や近隣の住民から資材の協力を得て完成したと伝えられています。幅員2〜3mで、全長300mにおよび、琉球石灰岩を敷き詰めた石畳の道で、坂を登ると眺めの良い「大田バンタ」があります。また、字具志川に板書があった頃、首里王府から各間切の伝達に利用された道で、宿道として整備された歴史の道であります。You should watch it :) !!【Quotes from signboard set up by Uruma city】It is told that the slope in Ota and Kawata was built around 200 years ago according to plans set by Akabanta Ucchi, Tamagusuku Pechin, and Ijougwa Bini along with the support of local and neighbouring communities.The road measures two to three meters wide, 300 meters in lengths, and is laid with Ryukyu limestone.
