this is a special place. one of those discoveries i won’t forget. it was just me and the owner - laughing about life and talking via google translate. it’s an honest bar, authentic to it’s bones and bottles. i was looking for the trendy candle lit bar on the third floor of the same building and decided i much preferred his flamenco music. he even played the guitar for me. he is very talented. we also solved a rubix cube together. 11/10 when in kyoto will make a point to visit him. had a few high balls and a cup of tea.
Wonderful, quant bar with the sweetest owner who is very accommodating and made an effort to chat to us and play us some music. Definitely go and check out his yummy drinks and whiskey!
A hidden jem. Tucked in an alley, this bar was a highlight of our nights in Kyoto. Charming spot with a very friendly owner serving drinks. We came in for 1 and ended up there for hours. The owner chatted to us (via Google translate), recommended drinks and even popped down his guitar and played flamenco songs for us. Brilliant.
