I really enjoyed learning windsurfing here. The instructor's English was great for teaching us the basics.
Good range of water activities in the very calm waters of Lake Biwa here. Lake Biwa itself is much larger than the island of Singapore!! SUP (Stand-Up paddling), canoeing and lessons are available. But it's all in Japanese. Getting there is also a challenge as you need a vehicle to get you there from the train station. There's a public onsen nearby if you need a hot soak later.
