説明版：この礎石は六角堂境内の発掘調査により天明八年（1788）の正月に焼失したと見られる遺構面から出土したものです。正方形に近い刳型（くりかた）があり根石組に使われていた状態から十六世紀前後に建っていた六角堂の礎石と考えられます。この礎石には長い年月の庶民の祈りがこめられています。六角堂は古くから数多くの霊験、霊夢の伝えがあり広く内外の信仰を集め、また、いけ花発祥の地として、技芸との係わりの特に深いところです。礎石今ここに甦えり、聖徳太子ゆかりの霊池に鎮まりました。ここに捧げる人々の祈りは、三界の諸仏諸神の感応されるところとなりましょう。（現地説明版より）Explanation version:This foundation stone was unearthed from the remains of the structure that was believed to have been destroyed by fire in the New Year of Tenmei 8 (1788) during an excavation survey within the precincts of Rokkakudo. It is thought to be the foundation stone of the Rokkakudo built around the 16th century, as it has a nearly square shape and was used for the root stone arrangement. This foundation stone contains the prayers of the common people for many years.Since ancient times, Rokkakudo has had many miraculous experiences and legends of Reimu.As the birthplace of ikebana, it has a particularly deep connection with crafts.The foundation stone has now been revived here, resting in the sacred pond associated with Prince Shotoku. The prayers of the people offered here will be the place where the Buddhas and gods of the three worlds respond.(From the local explanatory version)
