江戸末期につくられた水車が、香川県高松市六条町に残っています。驚いたのは、その水車を動力として精米や製粉をするための機構です。旧古川の水の流れを利用して直径約5.0mの木製水車の動力が建物中にめぐらされた歯車やベルトコンベアに伝わり、小麦の製粉やお米の精米を自動的に行う機構が施されています。国登録有形民俗文化財。There is a mill that has machinery that is driven by water at Rokujo town, Takamatsu city, Kagawa pref., Japan. The architecture and tools were designated by the Government as tangible cultural properties. The water-wheel has about 500 years of history, and is used by the domain of Takamatsu.
